We're waiting for the last of our squash to ripen before the frost. Over the weekend Jackson helped to pick this beauty. (He wanted his bicycle helmet on, we don't make him wear it to play in the yard)
When we started to pull out our tomato plants to take them to compost, Jackson started to cry. This summer he spent a lot of time in the garden with us picking only the red tomatoes and adding them to the basket. Just as I am, Jackson was sad to see the tomato plants taken out to prepare for winter.

I know how Jackson feels...I hate to clean out the garden and see the beauty of summer fade away.

That is a nice size squash! Must have a good garden, might want to start your own pumpkins for him.
