(Quatros are like Duplos, but bigger and better for a one year old than Duplos. Duplos are more suitable for two year olds, according to the package. Who knew?)
We got them home and spent the next hour washing Lego Quatros in our kitchen sink, while Jackson screamed and jumped up and down waiting for his newly washed toys to be all his. While scrubbing, Ron and I talked about the process for Quatro playing... these new little toys wouldn't be left out and about for Jackson to play with on a whim. These would be taken out when he was fully supervised so that we wouldn't have 70 pieces of Lego Quatros stashed all over the house. Agreed. After Jackson was finished playing, we packed up our brightly colored building blocks, returned them to the tub and hid them away in Jackson's closet for another day.
This morning when I was looking over the pantry shelves for a snack to pack in Jackson's school lunch, guess what I found?!?! A green Lego Quatro tucked neatly between a box of NutriGrain bars and the applesauce. It's inevitable!

We will make a builder out of Jack. This will also teach him how to think spaciously and use colors. This young man has many Leier traits (Ron you have a lot of the same ones). Smart, good looking, talented, rhythm and with a temper! We can work on everyones temper stuff along the way including mine. Every time I read this stuff I smile I really enjoy your family. Can Jack say cookie yet? How about grand pa?
Not Grandpa... but he's got cookie down. (Thanks, Daddy!)
