Our great friends came from South Dakota for a visit over the weekend. It was so nice to welcome our friends and have them stay the night with us. It was a busy household and the quarters were a bit small for all but we really enjoyed the company. We had loads to catch up on and enjoy each others' kids. Here is Jackson welcoming Liam to our home:
A blog following our family of four as we explore and navigate life. We enjoy doing crafts with our kids and seeing the sights around us.

An update...
Adeline: The baby girl seems to be pretty laid back and isn't making things too difficult on any of us. She is waking up around 7:30 for a feeding and then heads off for a morning nap around 9-10. Another short nap around lunch time and another unpredictable afternoon cat nap. She is still eating every 2 or 2.5 hours which is probably how she got to be in the 90th percentile for weight. She'll eat again around 8:30 and nap on and off until 10:30 p.m. when I feed her again, Ron works to get her to sleep after that feeding and she makes it until around 5:30. We've tried a couple of bottles now with her so that she will be a pro when I head back to work, but she isn't adapting well. This will be a priority for the next week, as I get ready to head back to work.
Jackson: Jackson is doing great with potty training, besides a day of accidents last week when he had a playdate with his cousin Luke. Other than that day we've had just two small accidents in four weeks. I am so proud of him! Mornings he's been getting up with a dry pull up because he cries out for us when he has to go potty. Sometimes I wish he'd just go in his pull up and let us sleep! What's weird is that sometimes to tell us that he has to go potty he says "my butt hurts". Strange, I know. He's really been a joy to be with while at home with Addie. He has his moments, and doesn't listen all that well, but when it's just the three of us, he's really been a great little guy.
Sara: The last 11 weeks have been a roller coaster. I have really loved being home with my family, but it's exhausting. In the 11 weeks I have been a way from kids for a whopping 10 hours or so. Addie likes to be held and on the go, so I spend a lot of time pacing the house with her. Jackson wants to interact and it's tough to do when I can't sit still for more than five minutes. Add on the selling of the house, cleaning for showings and looking for a new home and it's a recipe for disaster. We've made it though and if all goes well, we'll be moving to our new home on Nov. 23. I head back to work on November 2 and am looking forward to taking on some new challenges that don't involve moving all or our belongings or taking care of kids.
Ron: With the selling of our house came a lot of "projects". Painting, electrical work and plumbing which has kept Ron busy every waking moment. He has still found time to play on his volleyball team and is looking forward to his birthday present this year. Ron will be turning 40 on November 6! For his birthday gift I am sending him along with his friend Bob to Austin, TX for a boys weekend with two of his best friends that live there. I can't wait to hear the stories when he comes back.

The house is sold...
Our house was on the market for 17 days and it sold! We were very excited, but now finding the next place to live has proved a bit exhausting. I'm surprised that two people ever agree on a house, but indeed millions of couples do it. Ron and I have different ideas of what the perfect house should contain. I'd really like a separate master bath, Ron desires a three car garage. He needs a place for his wood-working hobby and if we have a garage, I'm not willing to park outside in the winter (Yes, he did ask me if I would).
We spent the weekend looking at houses and painting our garage for the inspection. It's been a bit overwhelming, and the thought of packing up all that we own in the next five weeks makes me feel... well, a bit dizzy actually.
